Meet the Mentors!

The award winning peer mentor scheme has been co-created by Dr Eve Binks & Dr Catherine Thompson alongside students from the School of Psychology.

Chenelle Ashun

I’m a third-year single honours psychology student from Northampton, and the Peer Mentor Coordinator and working towards becoming a clinical psychologist. I have a good understanding of report writing and revision techniques. Outside of my studies, I work at a domestic violence shelter, Anfield, and in the kitchen at Wetherspoons. I’m a student representative and ambassador working towards the Service and Leadership award.

Luca Pocknell

I’m a second-year student who studies sports exercise alongside psychology. I’m the uni rugby captain and love coaching and helping people out

Eve Rushton-Wonderley

I’m a second-year single honours Psychology student native to Liverpool. My academic strengths lie in organisation skills, essay preparation, and report writing. Alongside my studies, I work at Next and volunteer at a women’s college, where I support and teach women from disadvantaged backgrounds. I’m passionate about gender equality/issues and always love to hear from those who hold a different perspective from my own and am currently working toward the Service and Leadership Award (SALA) through peer mentorship.

Lewis McArtney

I’m a lgbtq+ second-year single honours psychology student originally from Dundee, Scotland and I’m working towards becoming a forensic psychologist. I understand the overall course well, as well as the RDA aspect. Outside of university, I work as an exam invigilator in schools.

Agnieszka Bomba

I’m a third-year single honours psychology student from Poland. I’m working towards becoming a psychotherapist. In my first year, I served as the LGBTQ+ Rep and have developed strong skills in report writing and time management. Outside of academics, I work as a delivery and assembly assistant and participate in various sports activities.

Jackson Gray

I’m Jackson, I’m 23 and I am from the northeast of England. I’m in my second year of studying Psychology with Sport & PE. I came to university with the intention of going into teaching or coaching, this is one of the reasons I was really looking forward to becoming a mentor. I play lots of sports, but my main hobbies are football, going to the gym and I’m non-stop listening to psychology content. I’m here to help you get the most out of your time here and navigate through the varying challenges that university throws at you. I look forward to meeting you.
